An established organisation within the corrugated board manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Senior Salesperson to drive business growth in a competitive industrial environment.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong client relationship management capability, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

The successful candidate will focus on expanding market presence across recycled, virgin, and printed corrugated board segments, while contributing to sustainable packaging initiatives and long‑term strategic growth.

Salary: R28 000 to R45 000 per month (Depending on experience) + Commission.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ sales experience in manufacturing
  • At least 5 years’ experience within corrugated board or packaging
  • Strong knowledge of corrugated board manufacturing processes (recycled, virgin, printing/forming)
  • Proven track record in industrial/manufacturing sales, preferably packaging or paper products
  • Established network within FMCG, logistics, and industrial packaging sectors
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to translate technical product features into customer value propositions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with ability to forecast and interpret market data
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and recycled materials in packaging

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in recycled, virgin, and printed corrugated board markets
    • Expand client base across FMCG, packaging, logistics, and industrial sectors
  • Sales Strategy
    • Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company objectives
    • Forecast sales volumes and revenue streams across all stages of production
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build long‑term partnerships with key accounts
    • Provide technical guidance on board specifications, sustainability options, and printing/forming capabilities
  • Market Intelligence
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
    • Advise management on emerging opportunities in sustainable packaging and recycled board
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met
    • Support product innovation initiatives in eco-friendly and high‑strength corrugated solutions
  • Performance Reporting
    • Deliver regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and market analysis to senior management
  • Performance Metrics
    • Achievement of annual sales targets (volume and revenue)
    • Growth in new client acquisition and retention rates
    • Contribution to market share expansion in recycled and virgin board segments
