Background

Our client in the Financial Services sector is looking for a driven Sales Director to lead teams and grow business in a competitive market.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in sales with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within financial services or related industries
  • Proven track record in multi-line financial services sales including credit insurance, bonding and investment products
  • Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and business plans
  • In-depth understanding of the South African financial services market and regulatory landscape
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy across all business lines (credit insurance, guarantees, bonding, credit management, platform debt collections, top-up, gap cover and investment solutions)
  • Lead, mentor and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets for each business line
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company’s client base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders and strategic partners
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and client needs to continuously refine sales approaches and product offerings
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, underwriting and product teams to ensure alignment and maximize commercial impact
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports and presentations for senior management
  • Drive a culture of accountability, high performance and continuous improvement within the sales function
