ROLE PURPOSE

The Africa Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding my Clients footprint across African markets.

The role requires a commercially sharp individual with strong mining industry exposure and the ability to navigate diverse territories and complex customer environments.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–10+ years' experience in sales within the mining sector or industrial / machinery environment.
  • (Rubber or industrial products)
  • Proven experience managing African territories and / or large cross-border accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management capabilities.
  • Valid South African driver's licence; passport and ability to travel for extended periods.
  • Advantageous: background in industrial rubber products, automotive, tyres, heavy machinery, or OEM environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and grow sales across assigned African countries, with a strong focus on the mining sector and related industrial customers.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business targets and market conditions.
  • Conduct regular client visits in-country to strengthen relationships, present product solutions, and secure new business.
  • Identify, prospect, and onboard distributors, agents, and high-value mining clients.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and regional opportunities to increase market penetration.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance analytics.
  • Represent CLIENT at trade events, exhibitions, and mining conferences across Africa.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer queries, ensure service excellence, and support order fulfilment.
  • Provide product training and demonstrations to clients, distributors, and key accounts.
