Job description
Our client is a homegrown South African fintech company pioneering the future of payments. They are a passionate and collaborative team of developers, engineers, visionaries, techies, geeks and nerds. We are looking for a Regional Marketing Coordinator to join their team.
You are our client's boots on the ground, the operator who brings national GTM campaigns to life within your region. You launch merchant‑facing and consumer‑facing activations, execute in‑store branding, deploy VAS campaigns, and feedback proof to fuel national playbooks. You are the connective tissue between strategy and results. You work closely with the Merchant Growth, Partner Growth and Marketing teams to ensure every touchpoint delivers real, measurable engagement and revenue impact – not just visibility.
You don’t wait for permission. You move fast, land hard, and get results.
Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver merchant launches, store pop‑ups, B2C promotions, and multi‑channel regional initiatives.
- Ensure campaign materials are aligned with merchant profiles, verticals, and channel objectives.
Sales Collaboration & Merchant Support
- Work closely with Merchant Acquisition Specialists and Merchant Growth Managers to support onboarding, growth, and reactivation initiatives.
- Enable field readiness for merchant‑facing teams by coordinating regional GTM plans, activations, and feedback loops.

Performance Reporting & Proof Loop
- Track regional campaign metrics: redemption %, footfall uplift, acquisition and app usage.
- Capture merchant testimonials, field insights, and pre/post activation impact data.
- Feed insights weekly to Growth Marketing and Merchant Growth leads to improve campaign targeting and scale what works.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Marketing Coordinator, Field Marketing Specialist, Brand Activator, or Regional Marketing Executive — ideally in a fast‑paced tech, retail, or FMCG environment.

- Production and deployment of branded materials and signage.
- Collaboration with regional suppliers, printers, and event partners.
- Mobile or payment app products (experience with QR payments, loyalty, or fintech ecosystems advantageous).
- Proven ability to work remotely while driving measurable on‑ground engagement — coordinating cross‑functional teams, field partners, and merchants to ensure high participation, timely execution, and post‑campaign reporting.
Competencies required
- Field‑first executor with speed and precision.
- Creative, adaptable, and solutions‑driven.
- Highly organised and detail‑focused.
- Strong communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient with Canva, Figma, campaign tools, and AI‑based localisation solutions.
Benefits
- Salary: R25 000 – R45 000 CTC (depending on experience).
- Annual salary increase after 12 months of service.
- 17 days leave (accrued at the South African statutory rate).
