Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Cape Town, South Africa, supporting Africa-wide recruitment operations. The Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, managing both client relationships and candidate delivery across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire roles, primarily within the energy and technical sectors.

This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and enjoys owning the full recruitment lifecycle while working with local and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire roles
  • Develop and manage client relationships, understanding hiring needs and priorities
  • Source candidates using multiple channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, and internal databases
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to assess technical capability, cultural fit, and career alignment
  • Prepare and submit qualified candidate profiles to clients in a timely manner
  • Coordinate interviews and manage candidate and client communication throughout the hiring process
  • Negotiate pay rates, fees, and compensation packages in line with client and company guidelines
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talent for current and future roles across Africa
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate and client records within the ATS/CRM system
  • Meet or exceed recruitment metrics related to submissions, placements, and revenue contribution
  • Stay current on market trends, talent availability, and industry developments
  • Ensure a smooth, professional experience for both candidates and clients from first contact to placement
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in full-cycle / 360 recruitment is essential
  • Technical recruitment experience within energy, engineering, mining, infrastructure, IT, or renewables is advantageous
  • Strong business development, client management, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work both remotely and from the office, as required
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
