Job summary

A notable Defence and Aerospace company in Cape Town seeks a Quality Assurance Representative. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards, supporting production and design with Quality Assurance, and managing inspection processes. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Quality or Engineering with at least 3-5 years in Quality Assurance Management, preferably within the Manufacturing or Aviation sectors, along with knowledge of ISO certifications. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in Quality Assurance Management in Manufacturing/Aviation industry.
• Certification by industry recognized professional organisations is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000: 2015 / ISO 9001: 2015 / ISO 3951 is an advantage.

Requirements

Degree in Quality/Engineering or related field (4 year degree).

Quality body: Certification by industry recognised professional organisations is preferred (Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, advanced quality planning APQP SPC, TQM).

ISO: ISO 9000: 2015 / ISO 9001: 2015 / ISO 3951 Certificate/s would be an added advantage.

Minimum 3-5 years experience in Quality Assurance Management in Manufacturing/Aviation industry.

Responsibilities

Support Production with regards to Quality Assurance and Control.

Participate in pre-production activities to assure that quality standards, processes, procedures and best practices are adhered to.

• Assure that Production and Customer Quality requirements are adhered to and those activities during Production are performed in compliance with the Management System.

Support Design with regards to Quality Assurance and Control.

• Participate in Design activities to assure that quality standards, processes, procedures and best practices are adhered to.
• Manage and support Production resources who have Quality Control responsibilities.
• Incoming Goods Quality Inspection, for goods intended for use on or for the UAS.

Perform and assist with Internal, External and Provider Audits.

Create and review Quality Management System procedures.

• Attend and witness Qualification and Acceptance Testing of UAS Related products.
• Additional tasks may be added in line with governing documents or at the discretion of the Quality Manager. Such additional tasks shall be documented and agreed upon.
