Are you a technically minded sales professional who thrives on building strong client relationships and driving aftermarket success?

A respected client is seeking a Product Support Manager to join their team at Springbok / Gamsberg Mine . This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with key customer accounts, provide expert equipment support solutions, and help reduce owning and operating costs through strategic advice and exceptional service delivery.

Key Duties
  • Build productive, professional relationships and strategic partnerships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Consult with customers on equipment life cycles, maintenance planning and budget optimisation
  • Assist with quotes for parts, service and equipment management solutions
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of the dealership’s product offerings and their application to customer requirements
  • Market after-sales products and services
  • Act as liaison between the client and key customer accounts
  • Support business and budget planning activities
  • Inspect failed machines / components / parts with Technical Representatives where possible and guide customers accordingly
  • Compile and submit monthly reports with forecasts
  • Review machine and undercarriage inspection reports with customers
  • Promote part sales and follow up on quotations to convert them into confirmed sales
  • Drive targeted budget achievement and effective expense management
  • Ensure achievement of operational and customer monthly KPIs
Requirements
  • BTech, Diploma or Certificate in Sales / Marketing
  • Qualified diesel / earthmoving equipment mechanic (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on Caterpillar equipment as an artisan
  • Strong business development knowledge
  • Excellent business communication skills, including managerial and technical report writing
  • Solid technical understanding of product brands
  • Basic financial management skills
  • Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
