Our client is a global (EPC) company specializing in hydropower and renewable energy ventures worldwide.
They boast a portfolio of over 3GW in installed solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity.
Their current undertaking is a MW solar PV project scheduled to commence in May, situated in the Free State region.
They are building out their team in Cape Town and are looking for a Procurement Manager.2 year contract.
CANDIDATES MUST COME FROM A SOLAR PV BACKGROUND.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's goals and objectives in the solar industry.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor market trends, conduct cost analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers and engineers, to ensure procurement needs are met.
Drive and develop project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in conjunction with the Engineering Department.
Handover project procurement list (BOQ) to the Project Management Department.
Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Implement and maintain procurement software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
