Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Permanent on Demand Porter in Life Anncron Hospital, Klerksdorp, reporting to the Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for transferring patients between the wards and the X-Ray department as per schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Fetch and return ward patients
• All ward patients scheduled for procedures are collected from and returned to the wards
• Whiteboard schedule is maintained and checked throughout the day
• Deliver reports and images to wards and Doctor’s suites
• All reports and film envelopes which need to be delivered to ward or Doctor’s suites in the hospital are taken timeously and delivered to the correct destination
• Health and Safety; all work areas, passages and wheelchairs/gurneys are kept neat and tidy
• Assist with pharmacy porter duties when required

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a prerequisite.
