Position: Plant Head Noodles Manufacturing
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Relocation Mandatory)
Role Summary
Looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead its noodles manufacturing facility in Lagos, Nigeria. The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end plant operations, driving operational excellence, ensuring food safety compliance, and leading a large multi-functional team in a high-volume FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and EHS
- Drive manufacturing efficiency, productivity improvement, cost control, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO, FSSC
- Develop and monitor plant KPIs, budgets, and operational performance metrics
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Manage talent development, workforce planning, and succession within the plant
- Oversee plant expansions, new line installations, and capacity enhancement projects
- Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory, and environmental requirements
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align plant objectives with business strategy
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in FMCG / Food Manufacturing
- Mandatory experience in noodles manufacturing (Instant noodles preferred)
- Proven experience as Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head
- Strong exposure to large-scale, automated manufacturing plants
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and execution capabilities
- Willingness to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Food Technology preferred)
- MBA or additional certifications will be an advantage
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with multinational organizations
- Prior exposure to Africa or emerging markets is a plus
- Experience managing diverse, multicultural teams
