A leading machinery provider in South Africa is seeking an individual with strong communication skills for procurement and supply chain management. The successful candidate will coordinate local parts procurement while maintaining the pricing platform and handling supplier negotiations. A diploma in supply chain management or a related field, along with 4-5 years of relevant experience, is essential for this role. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring the smooth operation of purchase orders and supply management.
Responsibilities of the role include coordination and expediting procurement of local parts, communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, maintenance of the pricing platform, resolution of problems, ensuring purchase orders are valid and current, handling day-to-day purchase requests for spare parts, sourcing and negotiating with local suppliers, expediting open purchase orders, keeping internal customers updated with ETAs and delays, resolving supply queries, monitoring supplier performance and SLAs, and ensuring clear communication of technical specifications between suppliers and customers.
