Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Financial Advisor to support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, preferably within the construction sector, and a strong background in financial management and contract negotiation. Responsibilities include advising management on financial goals, preparing tenders, and ensuring legal compliance in project documentation. Advanced skills in Excel and business acumen are essential for success in this role. This on-site position is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or project management.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a must.
  • Knowledge of leasing contracts and financial regulations.

Job description
  • Advise and work with company management to meet financial goals
  • Advise and work with management regarding legal and regulatory issues, and reporting requirement
  • Account and cost reconciliation
  • Knowledge of financial information relating to the construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of leasing contracts
  • Statement tracking of debtors
  • Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
  • Developing and presenting project proposals
  • Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
  • Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients
  • Managing construction schedules
  • Dealing with any unexpected costs
  • Attending site meetings to monitor progress
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers
  • Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities
  • Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
  • Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the clients own representatives
  • Overseeing invoicing at the end of a project
  • Working on-site and in an office.

Requirements:
