Our group practice at our Mondia Umhlanga facility in Umhlanga is looking for anexperienced Occupational Therapist to join their team.

An occupational therapist (OT) working in a mental health environment has a crucial role in helping individuals with mental health conditions achieve their maximum potential in daily living and community participation.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include assessments, group therapy sessions, individual sessions where indicated, and patient meetings. Interdisciplinary teamwork is a crucial part of daily activities.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

• BSc Occupational Therapy (community service year completed)
• Minimum of 5 years post–community service clinical experience, preferably within mental health and/or addiction settings
• Demonstrated professional maturity, emotional insight, and the ability to work independently and responsibly in a complex clinical environment
• Maintain CPD standing as required by HPCSA
• Registered with HPCSA (independent practitioner, with INSTO PP / OTASA membership and Malpractice Insurance)
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Relevant experience in a Mental Health / Addiction environmentessential
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams at a senior or autonomous level
• Ability to provide guidance, support, and informal mentorship within a clinical team
