Introduction
Purpose of the role : To focus exclusively on growing the commercial interest with the fund partners and seeking strategic opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas :
- Briefing the professional teams on project concepts, taking the concept from a design stage, financial viability and getting the project approved by the respective boards of The Company.
- Performing all reasonable risk, due diligence, and other appropriate procedures prior to presenting development opportunities to the respective boards of The Company properties.
- Presenting projects to various stakeholders including JV partners, clients, tenants and landlords.
- Analysing various opportunities in terms of their financial returns and conducting market research that informs the company for decision making.
- Management of all aspects of the process of upcoming and current projects, to ensure total control is achieved over all possible risk factors impacting the development as well as deriving maximum benefit or profit for the company.
- Manage the development of staff and the development of various projects.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Honours Degree or equivalent in: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, BSc Building Finance or Property related qualification
- Masters degree in: Built Environment, Development Studies or, Business Administration (advantageous)
- 8 – 10 or more post professional registration experience within real estate investment and finance of which 3 years must be at Senior Management with direct reports
- Project Management experience
- Building Development – legislative requirements
- High Level of Construction Development experience
- FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Package & Remuneration
up to R2.9mil pa (Depending on experience)
