The Role

As the Marketing Manager : Consumer & SME, you will be required to be both hands on and oversee a small team with big dreams in a fast-paced environment.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing product briefs, creating and overseeing comprehensive marketing campaigns that include advertising, PR and activations and email marketing.


The successful candidate must have a strong understanding and working knowledge digital marketing, e-commerce and be able to adapt to fast changing digital environments.


Part of the role will also oversee a busy activations calendar and corporate social responsibility initiatives.


Purpose

This role is perfect for an organised and motivated self-starter who wants to drive creativity and own marketing and communications strategy for the Consumer & SME division.


With a focus on delivering a personalised and efficient customer experience, the role aims to position RSAWEB as the go-to Internet Service Provider (ISP) that values quality and connection.


Scope

This role is based in our Cape Town office- hybrid model (3 days per week in office) and will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for a broad spectrum of services, including Fibre to the Home (FTTH), Pre-paid, Business Fibre, Fixed LTE, and value-add services.


Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this leadership role will require daily collaboration with different departments and partners.


Key Objectives & Strategy


  • Working with the Consumer and SME team to designing and implement innovative marketing strategies for products and services

  • Translating the business strategy into an integrated marketing strategy that encompasses digital and creative campaigns

  • Stakeholder and Partner Relations

  • Building strategic relationships across the business to ensure collaboration

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key corporate / brand partners to boost brand awareness and sales.

  • Managing and coordinating trade exchanges to ensure maximum value

  • Website, Platform, Content Management & Customer Communication

  • Work with software development team to ensure optimised user experience and consistent brand messaging

  • Overseeing customer communication via Zoho and Everlytic platforms to create personalised user journeys

  • Implementing omnichannel marketing campaigns, including digital and social media activations

  • Experience on WordPress, Zoho, Everlytic or similar platforms is advantageous


Marketing & Communications Campaigns


  • Designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing and communication campaigns, including advertising, PR, and sales activations.

  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure brand consistency and impact.

  • Monitoring campaign performance and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.


Financial & Performance Oversight


  • Managing the Consumer marketing budget with traffic coordinator, maintaining diligent tracking at weekly, monthly, and annual intervals.

  • Evaluating marketing strategies and activities for effectiveness and ROI.

  • Ensuring sign off of all creative / admin / finance done via company procedure.


Reporting


  • Provide key weekly and monthly reports to Head of Marketing and Consumer – ROI, campaign performance, Activations, CSR

  • Able to distill complex information into simple reporting


Requirements


  • 5-7 years marketing experience in a consumer environment

  • Strong leadership and managerial experience

  • Experience in e-commerce, and digital marketing (previous experience with ISP or similar consumer retail experience will be advantageous)

  • Familiarity with WordPress, WooCommerce, Zoho, and Everlytic platforms

  • Strategic thinking with an eye for measurable results

  • Cross-departmental alignment

  • Project management

  • Previous experience in fast-paced, agile work environments.

  • Analytical thinker but willing to roll up sleeves to do hands-on work.
