Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer – from acquisition to account management to collections and recover – we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviors. Role Summary/Purpose

Manager (individual contributor) role is a part of Credit. Our team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving fraud/account management/credit/ collection experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives.

The candidate would be part of the Credit - Innovation Analytics team providing valuable expertise in application/solution development for analytics use cases enabling Synchrony’s growth and profitability. The candidate must be passionate about data products, analytics solutions and applications, keen on learning new technologies. The role will require working/coordinating with the project manager/stakeholders. This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Support the development, maintenance of the web based Analytics Platform initiative
• Provide technology consulting to stakeholders and team for building analytics solution design, implementation.
• Design, build front end, backend of analytics platform review security issues and release to production by working with security and release management teams
• Experience in developing full stack web applications using NodeJS, Flask and React frameworks.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 2+ years’ experience or in absence of a degree 4+ years of experience.
• Should have good working knowledge in Python/ Java, JavaScript, Java, NodeJS, HTML and MySQL to deliver solutions across JavaScript, python and Java tech stacks
• Exposure to MVC design pattern for building applications
• Experience in creating visualizations using D3JS and Chart JS
• Effective communication skills

Desired Skills/Knowledge

• Write ETL scripts to extract data from multiple data sources (i.e. Hadoop, Oracle, text files etc.) and load into application database
• Working knowledge of SAS scripts and their execution flow
• Should have experience in Analytics KPI’s in web application.

Work Timings

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
