Job description
Maintenance Manager
  • Perform general maintenance on factory, machinery, and building (interior / exterior).
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment according to checklists and SOPs.
Implement and manage preventative maintenance plans.

Monitor fuel levels and coordinate with contractors for after-hours / weekend support.

Respond to breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.

Communicate major breakdowns and action plans to management.

Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff and refrigeration technician.

Allocate shifts, manage performance, and provide on-the-job training.

Process and schedule all maintenance job requests, inspections, and hygiene checks.

Order parts / tools, manage inventory, and control maintenance budget and Capex planning.

Conduct monthly stock counts in maintenance storeroom and maintain the system.

Source, manage, and ensure compliance of external contractors on-site.

Monitor and maintain all production machinery for functionality and hygiene.

Support production team, including contractors weekend and Sunday operations.

Enforce Health & Safety compliance, PPE use, incident reporting, and emergency readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

3+ years in food industry, management, and maintenance

5+ years in refrigeration

Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge

Matric with N3 Electrical & Mechanical

Refrigeration certificate (advantageous)

ISO 22000 / food safety knowledge

ND / BTech / BEng (advantageous)

GCC (in progress or completed) is an advantage
