Key roles and responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare for and deliver 3 live lectures online in the BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) programme in the following module: Xitsonga Home Language 1 – DL Ya
  • Language Conversational Xitsonga - DL LCXTS152 - S2a
  • Language Conversational Xitsonga - DL LCXTS152 - S2b
  • Literacy Xitsonga Home Language 2 - DL XTSLI301 S1a
  • Literacy Xitsonga Home Language 2 - XTSLI301 S1b
  • Engage with and provide feedback to coordinating lecturers and programme coordinators to improve teaching and learning.
  • Assess student work
  • Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
  • Provide feedback to students
  • Carry out allocated internal pre-and post-moderation responsibilities.
  • Engage with coordinating lecturers on assessments and provide feedback on successes / challenges
  • Provide academic support to students.
  • Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
  • Consult with students on a weekly basis and upon request by students
  • Manage students at-risk as per the institutional policies and SOPs.
  • Improve the quality of own teaching through the scholarship of teaching and learning; share findings with STADIO teaching community.
  • Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
  • Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
  • Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
  • Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
  • Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
