Job summary

A leading service provider in Gauteng is searching for a Lead Technician and Service Manager. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a Trade Tested Diesel Technician and at least 2 years in service management. You will be responsible for achieving KPIs, managing service operations, and ensuring client satisfaction. Attention to technical detail and effective communication with stakeholders are crucial for this role.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience as a Qualified Technician / Mechanic.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Service Management.
  • 3 years After Sales experience in a regional role.

Lead Technician and Service Manager Role
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and expertise
  • Manage service operations, repair orders, and stock control
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Schedule and allocate tasks for the workshop team effectively
Service Delivery Objectives
  • Maximize customer satisfaction through quality service delivery
  • Meet or exceed KPI targets for first-time fix rates, turnaround times, and customer retention
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by management
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the workshop team
Qualifications and Experience
  • Certified / Trade Tested Diesel Technician / Mechanic – completed Apprenticeship with 5 years' experience as a Qualified Technician / Mechanic
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Service Management
  • 3 Years After Sales experience as a Regional Aftersales Manager and exposure to Dealer Networks
  • A recognized qualification in Business Development or Transport Management
