Introduction

Purpose

Responsible for repairing and testing of products. Performing fault-finding on equipment. Ensure repairs are completed within specified timeframe ensuring excellent customer service.



Electrical Technician Responsibilities


  • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.

  • Troubleshooting, repairing malfunctioning equipment: Electronics, Inverters, UPS, AVR’s.

  • Report writing skills.

  • Handling customer technical enquiries.

  • Troubleshooting and repairs on customer products.

  • Running back orders and ensuring repairs are conducted within specified turnaround time as per repair policy.

  • Consistently perform in a manner that ensures deadlines are met for all repairs performed.

  • Stock control within the workshop.

  • Using hand tools and measuring equipment, oscilloscopes, multimeter etc.

  • Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
