About the job Junior SHEQ Officer - Manufacturing

Junior SHEQ Officer Manufacturing Environment (Nasrec, Gauteng)

We’re on the lookout for a Junior SHEQ Officer who is proactive, detail-driven, and eager to make a difference in a fast-moving operational environment.

Duties:

You will be supporting SHEQ compliance across the site, working closely with operational teams to ensure everything runs safely, smoothly, and in line with legislation:

  • Conducting hazard identification & risk assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with OHS, Environmental Regulations, and Municipal Bylaws
  • Managing induction processes for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Ensuring monthly SHE inspections, meetings, and toolbox talks are conducted
  • Keeping accurate records of PPE issuance and inspection registers
  • Logging non-conformances, driving investigations, and ensuring corrective action
  • Assisting with incident investigations, fire drills, and audit prep
  • Maintaining up-to-date compliance and regulatory registers

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • SAMTRAC certification
  • Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Familiarity with ISO Management Systems
  • 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Clear criminal record
