Overview

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination and execution of small to medium‑sized projects or workstreams within larger initiatives.

Assisting the Senior Project Manager and project team, the Junior Project Manager ensures deliverables are met, issues are escalated timely and project documentation is maintained. The role also contributes to process improvements and learns to apply project governance principles in a real‑world delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination and execution of project tasks and milestones.
  • Maintain accurate records, share updates within required timelines and track progress.
  • Escalate issues and risks where necessary and ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Participate in weekly or ad‑hoc reporting and facilitate professional project meetings.
  • Suggest improvements, maintain templates and demonstrate learning in daily work.
Requirements
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Project Management training or certification (e.g. CAPM, Agile Fundamentals) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodology is preferred.
  • Experience in a project coordination or junior project management role.
  • Exposure to IT or business systems projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Jira or other project tracking tools is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
