An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitable Safety Officer to join our team. The suitable candidate must be able to :

  • Facilitate the implementation of standards according to requirements of the OHSAS and ISO standards
  • Ensure the organization is aware of and complies with all legislation
  • Ensure record systems are maintained
  • Ensure all company safety policies and instructions are adhered to and followed
  • Determine training requirements
  • Updates and maintains safety policies and procedures
  • Identify hazards and assess risk
  • Internal / External SHE audits and compliance
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Degree / Diploma in the Health & Safety
  • SAMTRAC (Safety Management Training Course)
  • Great knowledge of ISO 14001 : 2015; ISO 4500 : 2018
  • HIRA (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment) training
