Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician or equivalent.
• Relevant trade test certification in HVAC or Refrigeration is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Identify and recommend repairs or upgrades.
• Communicate with clients providing service updates.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment in commercial and residential properties.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC, aircon, and cooling system issues with efficiency and precision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and inspections to ensure optimal heating, ventilation, and air conditioning performance.
• Identify and recommend repairs, replacements, retrofits, and system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Communicate clearly with clients, providing technical advice, repair updates, and customer service support.
• Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
• Stay updated with the latest HVAC technology, refrigeration systems, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and facilities team to ensure timely and high-quality project completion.

• High school diploma or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician, Air Conditioning Technician, or Refrigeration Technician.
• Relevant trade test certification (HVAC / Refrigeration) or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
