Hire Resolves Client is urgently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their mining company based in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, Environmental Management Act, and other applicable legislation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections and audits across mining operations.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and safety management systems.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses and compile detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects including waste management, pollution prevention and rehabilitation measures.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• BSc Degree in Environmental Science / Earth Science.
• SAMTRAC Certificate.
• 5 years experience as an HSE Officer.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MHSA, Primary Environmental Acts and Regulations in South Africa.
• Valid Driver’s License.
