ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you a technically skilled IT leader with a passion for infrastructure, security, and strategic innovation?

A dynamic organisation in Durban is looking for an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of its IT operations, lead a small technical team, and ensure systems, networks, and platforms perform optimally.

This role requires a hands‑on professional with strong leadership ability, a strategic mindset, and deep technical expertise – someone who can manage day‑to‑day operations while also shaping the company's long‑term IT direction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage

Manage enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, CRM, trading platforms) and user access

Ensure system performance, uptime, and data integrity

Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (SOC, ISO

Conduct audits, risk assessments, and respond to security incidents

Lead IT initiatives and technology upgrades from planning through execution

Align IT strategy with business goals and drive innovation

Manage vendors, contracts, and service providers

Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Lead, mentor, and develop the internal IT support team

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• ? Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• ? 5+ years of IT management experience (ideally in trading, logistics, or financial services)
• ? Proven technical expertise in systems administration, infrastructure, and cybersecurity
