Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of integrated traditional and digital marketing strategies to grow brand strength, market presence, and customer engagement.
- Work closely with leadership to align marketing plans with broader business objectives.
- Conduct market, competitor, and consumer insight analysis to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Ensure brand consistency and effective message delivery across all channels and touchpoints.
- Oversee marketing budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting to ensure efficient spend and measurable ROI.
- Continuously evaluate campaign performance and refine strategies to improve outcomes.
- Manage all aspects of brand positioning, advertising, public relations, sponsorships, events, and community engagement.
- Guide creative development and ensure messaging is aligned, compelling, and effective across formats.
- Strengthen customer experience by ensuring marketing activities reflect and support product and service quality.
- Build, mentor, and lead a diverse, high‑performing marketing team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and drive skills development.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Identify new audience segments and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Analyse competitor landscape and implement strategies to differentiate positioning.
- Stay current with emerging marketing technologies, platforms, and best practices.
- Use marketing metrics, automation, and analytics tools to track performance, customer insights, and trends.
- Provide regular reporting and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in marketing, brand, digital marketing, communications or similar.
- Proven senior leadership experience managing both traditional and digital marketing functions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
- Strong capability in analysing data and using insights to drive decision‑making.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to link marketing outcomes to business results.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
This role is based full‑time in the office in Umhlanga, Durban.
