Role Overview

The Head of Finance will lead the finance team across finance, controlling, accounting, IT, imports, and procurement. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role partners with local and German senior leadership to drive strategic decisions and ensure company profitability.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.

4 years minimum within a senior strategic management and operational financial role.

Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (essential).

Foreign currency experience.

Export / import experience.

Industry exposure to manufacturing or FMCG, essential.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Develop the overall corporate financial goals and objectives.
• Manage the administrative/finance area ensuring that all activities (finance, controlling, accounting, IT, imports, procurement) are performed in accordance with legislation and group internal rules.
• Elaborate monthly, quarterly, and annual audit reports in accordance with local and international accounting rules, checking group guidelines.
• Ensure that the financial perspective (especially profitability and return on capital employed) is well considered in all decisions.
• Structure financing alternatives for company operational activities.
• Give orientation for all departments (finance, controlling, accounting, IT, imports, procurement).
• Propose policy and be responsible for cash management, accounts payable and receivable.
• Strategial planning.
• Coordinate the elaboration and tracking of budget planning for short- and long-term periods.
• Internal and external audit tracking.
• Company insurance policy tracking.
• Financial and accounting information report for main office.
• Finance analysis and tracking of new investments.
• Look for improvements in all activities through tracking and analysis of procurement activities.
• Track area KPIs such as purchase order development, revenue, accounts receivable, margin and profitability.
