Job summary

Groups and Incentives Relief Consultant – Luxury Safari Property Collection – Sandton

Salary – Negotiable DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a Groups and Incentives Relief Consultant for a luxury safari property collection based in Sandton. This role is ideal for an experienced inbound consultant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident stepping in to manage group and incentive portfolios during consultant absences.

Supervising and managing the full workload of assigned consultants during periods of sickness, annual leave, or training, including re-quotes, ongoing proposals, operations management, and related tasks

Assisting with and developing agent and hosted educational bookings, working closely with the Sales team to ensure seamless delivery

Supporting the implementation, testing, and refinement of systems and procedures

Following up on provisional bookings for relevant team portfolios

Proactively following up on dormant or dead leads during quieter periods

Assisting with the loading of bookings during peak booking periods

Supporting Small Group Journeys as required

Assisting with the procurement of new suppliers and products to enhance the Groups department offering and creativity

Occasionally travelling with groups to assist with on-the-ground operations

Knowledge Required

In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, including travel channels, destination management, current trends, and customer expectations

Strong understanding of terms and conditions, operating markets, product knowledge, and third-party and internal destinations

Relevant business understanding to support strategic thinking and commercial decision-making

Sound knowledge of South Africa, Southern Africa, and East Africa, with the ability to provide recommendations and destination support

Basic understanding of crisis management protocols, emergency response, and risk mitigation strategies

Skills Required

In-depth knowledge of Tourplan, Wetu, and Microsoft systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is advantageous
