A global mining company in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced GRC Product Owner & Project Manager to oversee MetricStream implementation and development. The successful candidate will define the product roadmap, manage complex projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and ensure data governance. You will work closely with various teams to enhance enterprise-wide risk management capabilities. An ideal candidate has over 10 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of MetricStream solutions.

Glencore Copper is seeking an experienced GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) Product Owner & Project Manager to lead our MetricStream implementation and ongoing development.
This dual role combines strategic product ownership and hands-on project management to deliver enterprise-wide risk management, audit and HSEC management solutions.
The successful candidate will drive the vision, roadmap, delivery and ultimately, management of our integrated GRC platform while ensuring seamless collaboration across global assets, regions and within the department.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field; advanced degree (e.g.; MBA, MSc) or professional certifications in business, risk management or data governance preferred.
10+ years of experience including strong delivery of Management (ERM) frameworks and MetricStream solution rollouts.
Proven experience in implementing and managing Enterprise systems in a global organisation.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies used in ERM systems, including strong MetricStream knowledge.
Knowledge of MetricStream's ERM features, such as AI-driven risk insights, heat maps and compliance automation.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
Strong knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
Ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Ability to travel during system implementation and ongoing improvements to the regions.
Advanced English both written and spoken.
