  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Licence and own transport required.

Responsibilities

  • Determine client needs relating to product specifications and due diligence requirements.
  • Develop and communicate clear product specification guidelines.
  • Conduct packing facility visits for maximising value.
  • Handle due diligence/compliance requests from customers.
  • Interpret product feedback and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate packing formats and test new concepts.

Fruitways is a leading agri-business in South Africa. We specialise in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.

We have a career opportunity for a self-disciplined and confident individual who can implement specialist technical knowledge in fruit quality and compliance. The position requires expertise to maintain quality and packing standards and the capability to build and maintain strong relationships with packhouses and customers. Based at our Somerset West office.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine client needs relating to product specifications and due diligence requirements.
  • Develop and communicate clear product specification guidelines to the sales team and packing facility personnel.
  • Regular packing facility visits to assist with interpretation of the specifications to maximise value adding for customers and producers.
  • Engage and handle due diligence/compliance requests from customers and stay up to date with latest market requirements.
  • Interpret product feedback from customers and resolve problems with packhouses and clients.
  • Evaluate packing formats and test new concepts.
Requirements:
