About Our Client
Our client is an established company operating within the food import and export sector. They manage a range of food products with a strong focus on compliance, quality standards, and cold chain integrity. Their team is structured to ensure consistent product quality across receiving, storage, and dispatch processes.
This role reports directly to the QC Manager and focuses on maintaining product and process quality standards across the operation. The Food Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with labelling requirements, monitoring cold chain standards, and identifying non-conformances. The position plays a key part in protecting product integrity from receiving through to dispatch.
2–3 years relevant QC experience within FMCG or food environments
Conduct product and process quality inspections
Ensure correct labelling and product compliance
Monitor receiving temperatures and maintain cold chain standards
Inspect vehicles, packaging, pallets, and dispatch processes
Report non-conformances and maintain accurate quality records
Perform sensory evaluations and general QC administrative duties
Matric
2–3 years relevant quality control experience
Strong attention to detail
Computer literate in Excel and Word
Able to work under pressure
Willing to work weekends and night shifts when required (17:00–02:00)
