A leading supply chain management company in Somerset West is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee its full financial function. The ideal candidate must have a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance, 2 years post-article experience or 7–10 years in a similar role. Job description

Our client, a leading supply chain management company based in Somerset West, is looking for a Financial Manager to oversee the full financial function and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. This role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can balance operational demands with strategic financial oversight.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, resilient under pressure, and has excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and leadership ability are essential, as the role works closely with both finance and operations teams to support business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full financial function, including invoicing, debtors, creditors, VAT, and audit preparation
  • Manage annual audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Drive cost control, foreign currency management, and rebate/payment processes
  • Monitor and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting to management and shareholders
  • Support process integration and optimisation between Finance and Operations
  • Perform all other tasks related to the role
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance (BCom or equivalent)
  • Professional designation (e.g. CA (SA), SAICA or SAIPA) advantageous
  • 2 years post‑article experience or 7–10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in supply chain/logistics or a related industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Pastel advantageous)
