It is an in‑office position based in Claremont, Cape Town.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Management
- Oversee the entire finance function from management accounts to forecasting and financial modelling.
- Prepare, review and present monthly management accounts, cash‑flow reports and variance analyses.
- Lead budget planning, cost control and financial performance reviews.
- Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions across logistics, data and consulting divisions.
Process, Systems & Automation
- Drive automation and digitisation across finance.
- Collaborate with the Data Insights team to align operational and financial data for real‑time business intelligence.
- Implement internal controls, reconciliation processes and reporting automation to improve accuracy and scalability.
Team & Operational Oversight
- Manage and mentor, encouraging performance development and accuracy.
- Liaise with external accountants for statutory VAT and tax compliance.
- Partner with internal business units (data transport and client consulting) to ensure financial clarity and commercial accountability.
Ideal Candidate and Requirements

- Commercially savvy with a sharp understanding of how data translates to value.

- Tech‑enabled and confident working with systems like Zoho Books, Excel (Advanced), Power BI or similar tools.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting or Commerce (CIMA / SAIPA / SAICA advantage).
- 35+ years experience in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role.
- Demonstrated experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
- High proficiency in Excel and Zoho Books (or similar accounting systems).
- Exposure to data analytics or operations‑driven industries (logistics, FMCG, consulting or tech) preferred.
