It is an in‑office position based in Claremont, Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Management
  • Oversee the entire finance function from management accounts to forecasting and financial modelling.
  • Prepare, review and present monthly management accounts, cash‑flow reports and variance analyses.
  • Lead budget planning, cost control and financial performance reviews.
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions across logistics, data and consulting divisions.
Process, Systems & Automation
  • Drive automation and digitisation across finance.
  • Collaborate with the Data Insights team to align operational and financial data for real‑time business intelligence.
  • Implement internal controls, reconciliation processes and reporting automation to improve accuracy and scalability.
Team & Operational Oversight
  • Manage and mentor, encouraging performance development and accuracy.
  • Liaise with external accountants for statutory VAT and tax compliance.
  • Partner with internal business units (data transport and client consulting) to ensure financial clarity and commercial accountability.
Ideal Candidate and Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting or Commerce (CIMA / SAIPA / SAICA advantage).
  • 35+ years experience in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role.
  • Demonstrated experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
  • High proficiency in Excel and Zoho Books (or similar accounting systems).
  • Exposure to data analytics or operations‑driven industries (logistics, FMCG, consulting or tech) preferred.
