Job Description

• Day to day drive of the debtors and creditors teams, and review of payroll.
• Assist the financial director in reporting accurate and timely management accounts.
• Facilitate good communication between the finance team and internal and external parties.
• Manage risk by ensuring that internal controls and segregation of duties are maintained within the business.
• Debtors management.
• Ensure all monthly reporting deadlines are met.
• Supporting the financial director in the review, interpretation and reporting of the company’s financial results monthly in a management accounts format.
• Ensure that all the relevant reconciliation processes are undertaken timely, are up to date and reconciling items are cleared regularly.
• Supporting the financial director in managing the process and compilation of the annual and strategic budget for the company.
• Supporting the financial director to ensure approved budgets are adhered to.
• Review and submit all statutory returns and statistical information.
• Ensuring compliance with the various statutory regulations (e.g. VAT, Tax, PAYE etc.)
• Design the Company’s financial policies, rules and regulations and ensure adherence to them.

Qualifications

• Professional Accountant (SA) / CIMA / AGA (SA)
• Post articles commerce experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods business environment.
• Proven track record of implementing and improving systems of internal control and financial accounting.
