Job summary

A JSE listed company is seeking a skilled Finance & Management Accountant to join their team in Germiston. This role involves preparing management accounts, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial management. Ideal candidates will hold a BCom Accounting degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing. Strong skills in JD Edwards and financial compliance are essential. Competitive salary of R35k - R39k PM based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance, ideally from a manufacturing or operations background.
• Code 8 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and expense approvals.
• Lead and mentor finance staff.
• Oversee month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Handle reconciliations, stock procedures, and creditor payments.

Skills

Strong proficiency in JD Edwards

Microsoft Office (Excel pivot tables and models)

Knowledge of VAT, Tax, IFRS, and financial compliance

Stakeholder engagement

Willingness to work overtime and weekends

Education

BCom Accounting degree
