Job summary

A leading environmental consulting firm in Cape Town is looking for an Environmental Consultant with a degree in Environmental Management. The ideal candidate will manage Basic Assessments and provide support on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). Responsibilities also include compiling proposals, coordinating project schedules, and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have 3-10 years of experience and be registered EAP or Sci.Nat. Travel within South Africa is required.

Experience and Skills :
  • Have a Degree in Environmental Management (Honours or higher) or other relevant degree.
  • Be a registered EAP or Sci.Nat.
  • Have approximately 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Have a valid passport, drivers licence and own transport.
  • Be willing to travel within South Africa.
Responsibilities :
  • Manage Basic Assessments and / or provide support on EIAs.
  • Compile proposals and reports.
  • Coordinate project schedules.
  • Manage budgets.
  • Appoint and manage specialists.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement.
Competencies :
  • Excellent knowledge and application of environmental legislation.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment.
  • Committed team player.
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills additional languages would be advantageous.
  • Analytical and integrative skills across diverse disciplines and sectors
