Job description
Tasks

Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering solutions and improvements in line with local, global and legislative requirements. Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering solutions and improvements in line with local, global and legislative requirements. Translating customer, process requirements to engineering measures, whilst being the face to the customer. Perform activities in compliance to the Company’s Integrity & Anti Bribery codes, Conflict of interest policy & S.H.E.Q. requirements. Conduct comprehensive process audits as lead auditor and control effective corrective actions in project as well as in series phase.

Outputs/ Essential functions

  • Take personal responsibility for Learning & Development through a process of assessment, reflection & actioning, including on and/or off the job training, and sharing learnings with team.

  • Project Management of supplier performance including lead time and logistics solutions in identified time frames that is available and required for the project execution. Feedback to stakeholders. Site management. Ensuring commissioned projects are handed to stakeholders.

  • Develop and enhance Engineering procedures and strategies to achieve optimization and continuous improvement

  • Sourcing current budget for strategic and project way forward with relevant departments. Including budget management for current department.

  • Creating technical specifications, supplier identification and engagement, quotation review and order placements.

  • Conduct design review, technical review of projects and lead cross functional teams to establish business goals in project execution.

  • Gap analysis for customer, production and process requirements structured into project and equipment KPIs indicated in scope, roadmap and/or milestones.

Qualifications
  • NQF L7 - Bachelor's Degree/Advanced BTech – Electrical Engineering or relevant equivalent

  • At least 6 months participation on our MBSA Graduate Development Programme.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3-5 years’ Project Management experience is advantageous.

  • Paintshop specific knowledge.

  • Production process knowledge.

  • Communication and presentation Skills.

  • Problem Solving experience and methodology.
