Job summary

A leading training organization in Gauteng is seeking a qualified Driver Trainer to provide comprehensive training and assessments for Code 14 heavy-duty drivers. Candidates must have a Grade 12 / Matric qualification and certification as a Driver Trainer. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and the ability to deliver training both in-class and on-the-road. This position involves managing training records and contributing to the development of training materials.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
  • Certification as Driver Trainer (Assessor, Facilitator and/or Moderator).
  • 3 years of experience in Training/Learning & Development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and assessments for all Code 14 heavy-duty drivers.
  • Keep accurate records of all training completed.
  • Support the recruitment and evaluation of new Code 14 heavy-duty drivers.
  • Perform driving performance assessments.
  • Deliver remedial training following accidents.

  • Valid Code 14 Driver Licence with PrDP
Experience & Requirements
  • Training/Learning & Development: 3 years (Required)
  • 4-5 years relevant work experience in Training/Learning environment.
  • Computer Literate
  • Knowledge of MS Office skills (required) and LMS (desired).
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide training and assessments for all Code 14 heavy-duty drivers.
  • Keep accurate records of all training completed.
  • Support the recruitment and evaluation of new Code 14 heavy-duty drivers.
  • Perform driving performance assessments.
  • Deliver remedial training following accidents.
  • Facilitate classroom-based training sessions.
  • Conduct on-road, on-the-job driver training.
  • Compile and manage training schedules.
  • Contribute to the development of training content and materials.
  • Offer coaching and mentoring to drivers.
  • Report to management on training progress and trainee performance.
