A health service provider is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a leadership position at the Alcohol and Drug Service in Tasmania. This role encompasses setting direction, empowering teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders for a person-centered approach. Please note this position is also being advertised as an Area Manager – Alcohol and Drug Service North/Northwest (500987) and only one position will be filled on merit. This position is eligible for a Multi‑Disciplinary Allowance.
At the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS), we operate across Tasmania’s North, North West and South, reaching communities through our hubs and regional outreach centres. Our teams help people take decisive steps toward healthier lives, reducing harms from alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. It also provides community health, mental health and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites. Permanent full‑time, day‑worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable with the successful applicant). For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time and casual vacancies.
$141,509 to $164,681 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution.
Access to a salary package including living expenses up $9,010, meal entertainment up $2,650 per FBT year and other benefits if eligible.
