Job summary

A logistics company in Reitz is looking for a qualified Mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel and petrol motor vehicles, pumps, and generators. Key responsibilities include servicing vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maintaining safety standards. Candidates should have a qualified artisan status or be a recognized apprentice with up to 3 years of relevant experience. A valid driver's license is required for this full-time position.

  • Up to 3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing company vehicles to predefined checklists.
  • Repairing and maintaining trucks and interlink trailers with hydraulics.
  • Applying Health & Safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Reporting regularly to management on breakdowns and services.
  • Performing ancillary duties as determined by management.

Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanic : responsible for the repairing and maintenance of all diesel / petrol / machines motor vehicles pumps generators in a company. Diagnoses identifies and rectifies mechanical problems on vehicles and equipment. Plans work procedure. Overhauls or replaces carburettors blowers generators distributors starters and pumps. Rebuilds parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Servicing of company vehicles to predefined checklists
  • Repair and maintain trucks and interlink trailers with hydraulics including forklifts
  • Apply Health & Safety rules and regulations in all aspects of job
  • Ensure vehicles are kept in line with legal requirements and company policies i.e. roadworthy etc.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working place at all times
  • Administer regular reporting to management regarding breakdowns services etc.
  • Perform ancillary duties to the above as determined by management on an ongoing basis
Minimum Requirements

Qualified Artisan or 5 year recognized apprenticeValid drivers license preferably ECUp to 3 years experience
