Job summary

A prominent retail company in Durban is looking for a data integration specialist to manage data flow between key systems. Job description

Responsible for all levels of data integration between the core power fashion systems, namely the ERP, POS, WMS, and Data Warehouse. This role is critical for Finance, Operations and Merchandise teams to provide accurate, reliable and timeous data, reports and analysis.

Conduct daily monitoring of master data and transactional flow between the ERP, WMS, POS, and Data Warehouse. Resolve all replication discrepancies promptly.

Manage stock transfers and stock-in-transit records, ensuring data accuracy and holding City Logistics accountable to their SLA.

Act as the liaison for internal and external audits, providing required evidence. Execute month-end control checks and create monthly journals to reconcile system variances for statutory reporting.

Investigate and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve all variances related to sales, customer / lay-by data, GRNs, and stock transfers.

Process key inventory movements and adjustments as directed by Operations and Merchandising (., redirected stock, stock takes, insurance claims, and transfers).

Generate regular analytical reports that provide the business with actionable insights to improve operational performance.

Education
  • NQF level 5 (Higher certificate, usually 1-2 years) EQF level 3 Technical certificate N4-N6 (18 months).
Experience
  • 2 - 3 Year in a data analyses role.
Knowledge / Skills
  • SQL expertise for validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strategic problem-solving to identify and address systemic integration or data flow issues.
  • Cross-functional communication with Finance, Operations, Logistics, and IT.
  • Data documentation & governance to ensure auditability and repeatability.
Business Understanding
  • Experience / understanding of sales and finance business operations, with a solid grasp of financial and sales concepts.
