A leading health service provider in South Africa seeks a highly-motivated Clinician for General Adult Psychiatry. The role includes delivering multidisciplinary care in an inpatient setting and involves collaboration with community teams. Applicants must be on the GMC specialist register or nearing CCT. This post offers the opportunity for flexible working and is situated in a supportive team environment.
We seek to appoint a highly-motivated Clinician with an enthusiasm for General Adult Psychiatry in an inpatient setting. This new post will become part of our established inpatient service which aims to offer a high standard of multidisciplinary care to those requiring inpatient treatment. This model enables consultant‑led medical assessment and care to be available, consistently leading to shorter lengths of stay and lower readmission rates. There is close liaison with community teams to facilitate the delivery of consistent, patient‑focused care to a high standard in both settings. This post is based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness. The post holder will be welcomed into a friendly and forward‑thinking team of consultants where peer support is valued and protected.
Applicants must be on the GMC specialist register in General Adult Psychiatry or within 6 months of award of CCT by date of interview. Consideration can be given to appoint on a proleptic basis. This post also involves participation in the consultant on‑call rota. Applications for flexible working will be considered.
