Job summary

A public sector entity in Cape Town is seeking a qualified individual to plan and execute scheduled projects and maintenance of provincial facilities. Job Purpose

The Department of Infrastructure has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to plan and execute scheduled projects and day-to-day maintenance of all provincial facilities and hired buildings, within the allocated resources and identified projects. To provide support to engineering services and multi-disciplinary project teams responsible for construction and maintenance of Provincial facilities.

Minimum Requirements

A National Diploma (T/N/S streams) or equivalent; or N3 certificate (or higher) and a passed trade test in the electricial environment; or Registration as an Engineering Technician; A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience; A valid code B (or higher) driving license.

Key Performance Areas

Remuneration

R 397 116 - R 467 790 per annum (Salary level 8)

Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

Notes

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. All shortlisted candidates, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
