POSITION INFO :
Leads the organisation toward achievement of a Board-approved vision by developing and implementing a business strategy that fully leverages the organization''s capabilities and by creating conditions in which employees can contribute to the full extent of their potential
Strategy Formation
Aanalytics as a key business enabler and competitive differentiator across the industry, including but not limited to :
1. Enable transformation of current business by utilizing analytics through;
Delivering insights to Group Executives to support informed decision making.
Partnering with subsidiaries to embed automated decisioning processes into consumer driven processes.
Enabling strategic initiatives through the business.
2. Turn the business into a revenue generating business for the market through;
Commercializing as a SaaS decisioning engine or Decisioning as a Service(DaaS).
Drive data through data management platforms of subsidiaries in order to monetize data.
3. Build capability through the Decision Science Accelerator.
Business Planning
Direct the development of annual and longer-term business plans for the organisation, ensuring alignment with the organisation''s strategy.
Participate in overall business technology planning, providing input to a future vision of appropriate technologies and systems in relation to the organisation''s needs, intent and capabilities.
Quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators)
Set resource budgets (financial and headcount).
Review and approve business cases for programs that have a strategic business impact.
Innovation Strategy, Pipeline and Roadmap
Exploring available technologies, applications, data and commercial opportunities to generate future capabilities that enable revenue streams.
Recommend or facilitate ideation and development of new and disruptive product and services that will differentiate us from our competitors to grow revenue streams and profitability into the future.
Maintain the fitness of the business into the future by looking for opportunities to continuously improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and customer experience with existing product and services pipelines.
Drive formulation of new, creative and effective ways of leveraging the business’s vast data store and capabilities set to both resolve existing business needs and develop new business opportunities.
Consistently conducts research, design, implementation, and validation of cutting-edge solutions and strategies based on available inputs and prioritised needs to enable delivery of business solutions across diverse fronts.
Business Engagement and Collaboration
Drive acceptance and integration of the business and its products and services.
Support business leadership and users to understand and embrace the companies’ products and solutions.
Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to promote data driven business approach for informed decision making by business decision makers, and effective application of the company suite capabilities.
Knowledge sharing and explanation within contexts and levels of detail that recipients may appreciate
Drive the roll out, acceptance of, understanding of, delivery of, and expansion of the application of the Data Products, Decisioning as a Service (DaaS) capabilities and services across the BLT businesses and select Associates.
Contribute to the development of business unit strategy by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
Governance and Security
Works with the Security team to ensure that the information used adheres to the regulatory and security policies and agreements in place and provides motivation to improve upon these where possible.
Qualifies where information can be stored or what information, external to the organisation, may be used in support of the use case.
Collaborates with the Security team to ensure that the information used follows the compliance, access management, and control policies and that it meets the qualification and assurance requirements of the Group.
Ensures all IT and digital audits meet the standards set by the Group Audit and Risk Committee and other operating standards Formulate policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and ensure implementation thereof.
Drives the development and execution of information security, disaster recovery and business continuity plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and assets.
Board Relationship
Help ensure the business has an effective Board by developing and improving relationships with Board members and by identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges in the business and preparing them for discussion.
Financial Management and Control
Take overall responsibility for designing, developing and delivering the organisation''s financial management and / or control strategy.
Leadership and Direction
Be an effective inspirational leader to facilitate the creation of motivated, accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Coach, counsel and train the team, operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
