A leading South African university is seeking a Central Compliance Officer to implement compliance processes across its divisions. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant legal qualification and have at least 3 years of experience in compliance. Responsibilities include facilitating compliance workshops, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting management in compliance-related initiatives. The position requires strong analytical and planning skills.

The Compliance office is mandated by the Council to ensure that the Council and management and the staff members discharge their responsibilities to comply with the applicable compliance obligations, through the implementation of the compliance framework, policy, process, and services. The role of Central Compliance Officer supports the processes which reside within the compliance office for proper integration in the applicable departments.
UJ seeks to appoint a competent and strong-minded individual with the ability to implement a compliance process in the divisions of the University, to assist the central compliance office to operationalise compliance management in the University structures in line with its strategy.
