Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd., is an established, commercial agricultural enterprise, specialising in the cultivation of fresh fruit and vegetables. Laastedrif is based in Ceres and serves a range of local supermarkets as well as international markets.

Laastedrif is seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to maintain, support, and optimise their suite of business applications. This role will serve as the link between end-users, IT, and vendors – ensuring applications operate efficiently and meet business needs.

The successful candidate will handle system administration, user support, troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and monitor enhancements for key business systems such as ERP, Payroll & HR, Fuel Management, Time and Attendance, etc.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
  • Application Support & Maintenance: Provide tier 1 & 2 support for critical applications; troubleshoot issues, identify causes, and ensure timely resolution; monitor system performance; manage user accounts and permissions; escalatie complex issues to vendors or internal development teams when needed.
  • User Assistance & Training: Serve as primary contact for user queries; document and maintain user guides, SOP’s; provide end-user training and onboarding for new features and systems; analyse user feedback to drive improvement.
  • System Configuration & Enhancements: Perform configuration changes; form customisations and workflow updates; participate in testing, upgrades, and patch management; collaborate with IT & vendors to deploy new functionalities and ensure system integration.
  • Governance & Documentation: Maintain records of changes and incidents; ensure data integrity, and compliance to IT policies; support development of application monitoring and reporting tools.
Minimum requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field;
  • 2-4 years’ hands‑on experience supporting enterprise applications (business application support, system administration, or IT support);
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and troubleshooting data issues;
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and change control;
  • Understanding of databases, API’s, and system integrations;
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills;
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport to travel between the head office and farms.
Advantageous:
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Powershell / VBA);
  • Experience supporting financial or ERP systems in a corporate environment;
  • Experience in business process mapping and requirements gathering.
