Job Purpose

Manage relationships between Visa and various business partners including banks, fintechs, and regulators, focusing on business growth and partner satisfaction.

Participate in managing the setting, direction, and implementation of country and business strategies, objectives, and plans within designated partners to achieve business targets through growing existing business and identifying new opportunities, including new products and services.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans for designated countries and clients, integrating market information, partner business plans, Visa priorities, and competitor activities. Ensure plans are understood and supported across Visa divisions. Contribute to the Southern & Eastern Africa strategy. Develop operational plans for individual partners, monitor industry trends, analyze competitor strategies, and ensure timely market plans with justified spending.
  • Business Development and Relationship Management: Develop sales strategies and financial models to meet volume and revenue targets. Establish and manage relationships with partners, industry representatives, vendors, processors, and domestic switches. Identify new business opportunities, evaluate projects, and manage growth of existing and new business. Maintain close relationships with decision-makers in partner organizations, understand their strategies, and advise on Visa products and industry developments. Serve as the primary contact for Visa's support to partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in banking, financial services, payments, mobile networks, or fintech sectors; card payment experience essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in business or marketing, preferably an MBA.
  • Proven ability to liaise, present, and work with senior international bankers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Visa, other payment systems, card products, and activities of payment systems in relevant markets.
  • Strong commercial orientation, interpersonal credibility, influential, and sensitive to multicultural environments.
  • Ability to manage indirect reporting relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in motivating and developing teams to achieve objectives.
  • Sales experience, creative and design thinking skills.

This is a hybrid position. The number of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
