About the Role

The main purpose of the role is to provide cost analysis, contract and route profitability analysis, and costing for tenders and bids.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Analysing results to drive efficiencies, formulating forecasts and financial reports, and supporting the Financial Controller
  • Auditing & Controls: Liaising with auditors, providing feedback on discrepancies, managing action plans for audit findings, and developing/implementing/monitoring financial controls.
  • Revenue and profitability: Analyzing customer contract and route profitability, controlling revenue streams, and providing analysis for price increases.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Preparing various monthly and ad-hoc reports (e.g., revenue, group reporting, GL reports, management accounts), conducting variance analysis, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Costing for Tenders/Bids/Quotes: Acting as a liaison with sales/bid teams, investigating cost-saving initiatives for tenders, and providing feedback to the sales director.
  • Health and Safety: Participating in safety plans and forums, reporting and discussing incidents, and complying with safety policies.

Qualifications and Work Experience
