The Media Planner job requires a certain element of creativity, coupled with organizational and research skills. As a Media Planner you will be expected to develop media schedules in line with approved media strategies, and that deliver on set KPI's. A high level of collaboration and a real desire to push the boundaries is what will be expected. In addition, this role requires a high level of accountability and responsibility over the ATL media investments we are entrusted to manage.
You will be involved with numerous brand managers, so it's important to develop a good understanding and identify specific business needs for each one.
Your average week may include:
To demonstrate real passion, care and vision for the brands in your portfolio. Fully versed in all Telmar / Arianna planning tools. To be accountable for the successful delivery of ATL media schedules, media opportunity evaluations and PCAs. Ensure collaboration and alignment with other external agency partners. Work closely with strategists and buyers to ensure campaigns run smoothly and meet projected KPIs. Work with the strategists to ensure complete understanding of the strategy and accurate translation thereof into a media schedule. Once the schedule is approved, work closely with the Buyer to clearly and accurately brief in the campaign. Ensure accurate and optimized campaign execution, delivery, and reporting. In addition, work closely with the strategist to develop and collate the monthly PCAs. Work closely with the buyer to ensure accurate billing packs are delivered each month to the media buying team and ensure that any AP invoice queries are cleared each month. Together with the team, successfully meet the client's contracted KPI's and the commercial targets. Resolve ATL media related issues with a solution driven mindset, whilst maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, agency partners and clients. Ensure budgets are properly managed and financial losses mitigated due to under / overspends. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain highest taxonomy standards. Work collaboratively with the digital team to ensure media integration and collaboration on all campaigns. Work on any monthly reporting that is required for Global teams on your accounts.
